Have an old-school date at the historic Fort Canning Park, atop the iconic hill that witnessed many battles in the bygone years. Once the spot where palaces of 14th century Malay Kings were built, the park also served as the Headquarters of the Far East Command Centre and British Army Barracks.

Nowadays, it’s a great spot for running, hiking, going on picnics, and exploring the abandoned battle bunkers. There are plenty of scenic spots that provide breezy yet intimate locations for a date, though you may be interrupted by a squirrel or two!

Address: River Valley Rd, 179037

5. Go kite flying at Marina Barrage

Another breezy location for a date, Marina Barrage provides breathtaking views of the Marina Bay area, with open spaces where you can have a picnic and spend a relaxing afternoon together with your partner. Functioning as a dam that keeps the seawater out, the barrage also doubles as a chill-out spot for friends and couples alike.

Perhaps one of the best locations for kite-flying, head up to the Green Roof for a large stretch of open grass and lots of sea breeze that’ll get your kites going.

Address: 8 Marina Gardens Drive, 018951

6. Place your love locks at Clarke Quay

Nonetheless, this romantic tradition of love locks would be the perfect way to end the night. From Italy to Korea to France, love locks have been locked by many couples as a declaration of their love, so place your lock of love this Valentine’s Day!
