1. Goa Gajah

Goa Gajah, or Elephant Cave, is located in Bedulu Village, with a courtyard, historical carvings on the wall, and public bathing pools where you can take a dip.

2. Tegallalang Rice Terraces

Bali’s lush rice terraces are a sight to behold, and the Tegallalang rice terraces are perhaps the most popular, with cafes nearby where you can have a meal while enjoying the landscape.

3. Ubud Royal Palace

One of Bali’s main historical attractions, the Ubud Royal Palace dates back to the 1800s, with Balinese architecture, gorgeous gardens, and traditional dance performances and cultural shows.

4. Ubud Monkey Forest

Also known as the Sacred Monkey forest Sanctuary, this place also doubles as a research institution that strives to conserve the beautiful forest. Venture in and you’ll probably come face to face with some of the macaques that live there (there are hundreds of them!).

 5. Agung Rai Museum of Art (ARMA)

If you’re interested in local art, head to the ARMA to admire Balinese and other Indonesian masterpieces, watch theatre performances, or even take part in one of their dance and music classes.

1. Balique

Balique is a vintage restaurant tucked away in the the fishing village of Jimbaran, with a laid-back decor and an extensive and delicious menu of Indonesian and Western cuisine– there’ll be something for everyone’s tastes!

2. Babi Guling Ibu Oka

3. Bebek Bengil

1. Drift Surf Shop

A shop, cafe and gallery all in one, you can get surfboards, T-shirts, guitars and more at Drift Surf Shop. After shopping, have a cup of joe at the cafe and spend a lazy afternoon there.

2. Nyaman Art Gallery

For those who are into art, visit this contemporary gallery with an eclectic collection of pieces by local and international artists. They have everything from paintings to furniture to stone sculptures and more.

3. Hobo

For local-inspired furniture like upcycled vintage pieces and batik-covered chairs, head to Hobo along the Jalan Raya shopping strip to bring a slice of Bali back home.
