August 07 02:57 2017

Meditation can change your life. If you are new to meditation, you may have preconceived ideas about what meditation is and who it is for. Let’s demystify it

Meditation is for everyone. The art of meditation will certainly bring a sense of calm to your life…. but it offers so much more. Establishing a regular meditation practice can help still the mind, release stagnant energy, process and let go of present and past emotional issues and promote physical and emotional healing (great for those looking for bodhi meditation in Singapore). With regular practice, meditation can in fact change you at a cellular level. Looking for evidence? Scientific studies prove that meditation changes lives. Better than reading facts, is better to try it for yourself to see the benefits. There is nothing to lose and everything to gain!

To develop your practice, it’s helpful to engage in a meditation class. Joining a class provides framework for meditation and a space to learn, participate and discuss your personal experiences. Attending a class will equip you with a profound understanding of the body/mind/spirit connection. Taking this understanding, and affecting change in your everyday life, is priceless.

With so many styles of meditation to choose from it can be hard to decide what’s right for you. All meditation is good meditation. However, finding a class that draws you, a facilitator you resonate with, and a meditation centre in Singapore is paramount to your personal engagement and development. We believe that there is no best meditation class in Singapore, but rather one that resonates with you. So try a few out.

Here are a few great courses led by experienced and nurturing Singapore meditation teachers. Read on and connect with the right meditation class in Singapore. Today is the day to start the next chapter of your journey!

About this class

Dani’s class is a perfect experiential introduction to meditation; as the name suggests. Dani is a wonderful teacher and guide. The connection and understanding she builds with each of her students is palpable. This popular course provides understanding of the basic principles and benefits of meditation. It is delivered in a no fuss, no jargon, easy style and provides a good spread of practices to get participants started. Dani draws from techniques and wisdom from numerous world traditions, current research into neuro and cellular biology and her own experience. Students access their innate ability to meditate and the incredible benefits that unfold from their practice.

Who is this class for?

– People new to meditation – this is a wonderful entry, as there are classes on meditation for beginners in Singapore.

– Those seeking a refresher or to re-establish a flagging practice.

Students seeking a stepping stone into a more advanced practice.

What makes this class unique?

This class provides insight into the why/what/how of meditation.

Dani believes that when we have a cognitive understanding of the energetic and physiological processes of meditation, we can more readily move the consciousness into a meditative state and deepen the experience each time.  Students will not only learn how to practice; they will gain deep understating of how and why the practice works for them. Most importantly they will experience the change it brings.

Participant Experiences

‘I joined an Intro Meditation Course in Singapore run by Dani in May/ June and have come away with a foundation to build on and a daily practice- and yes I have now a regular daily practice – approx. 15 mins around 6.30am – I look forward to this and find that it grounds me for the day, which feels good and continues to help me find more space, balance, peace and an ability to connect…and be truly thankful for the “moment”, people, and my surroundings as well as me and my spiritual me.  If you have an intuition, a feeling to explore mediation then I can highly recommend Dani – very generous, very safe, a wonderful teacher. ‘ – Kate Kemp, participant

‘The intro to meditation allowed me to re-establish and deepen my meditation practice. The greatest challenge for me is to make meditation a habit in my life, something I just do every day and Dani’s course brought me exactly that. Not only am I now meditating daily (sometimes twice a day), she really got me hooked and passionate about it. I shifted from “it’s really a good idea to meditate, I really should…” to “…longing for it and wanting more and more…”.

With her sense of humour and research based knowledge, she bridges to and grounds spirituality into modern, day to day life. Being around her is always a fun and profound experience.’ – Manon Swarving, participant

Participant experiences

“Toby — one of the unique, differentiating things about you and your methods of facilitation which I really appreciate is that you’re very ‘agnostic’! What do I mean by that? Well, you expose and offer your students a wide variety of different approaches to meditation, always underpinned by a sound intellectual (and importantly, also practical) framework for each one – and for me, this is very satisfying as I can think and feel that I am developing myself along a continuum of knowledge and practice.” – An attendee

‘The topic may seem deep and esoteric and the goal inaccessible and unattainable, but in this carefully and artfully crafted series of meditations, Toby breaks the process down into 6 easily understood and accessible parts with his signature clarity, precision, humour and above all an overarching mission of practicality… I have thoroughly enjoyed this series of meditations because of the clarity, precision and sheer beauty inherent in all of them and would strongly recommend it to anyone who is interested in meditating with the ultimate purpose of demystifying and practicing spiritual enlightenment with clear and accessible tools and instructions.’ – Vathani Raja
